Beaches

The beach at Cha Am is one of cleanest within Thailand.
Within the last few years the city administration has created an exemplary waste water disposal to international standard, including an efficient and modern purification plant. The local authorities are paying more attention to the cleanliness of the beach and the water quality through constant monitoring and control.

The public beach is 12 kilometres long and at ebb-tide on average about 150 m wide. It is therefore ideal for long walks.

The water temperature varies from 27° C to over 30° C, depending on the season.
